Lot clearing, cleanups & grading across Albuquerque

From vacant lots on the West Mesa to sloped foothill parcels in the Northeast Heights, we clear, grade and dig across every quadrant of the city, and we haul it all away.

One city, very different dirt

Albuquerque runs from the Rio Grande bosque up to the base of the Sandias and out across the West Mesa, and the ground changes the whole way. A lot off Coors on the Westside can be loose sand that starts drifting as soon as the brush is gone. A few miles east in the Foothills, the same job means decomposed granite, buried boulders and a slope that has to be graded carefully.

Most of our work inside the city falls into a few groups: clearing an overgrown or neglected lot, often after a notice from code enforcement; getting an infill lot ready for a new home, garage or casita; and regrading yards so monsoon runoff stops pooling against the foundation or running into the neighbor’s yard.

We size the equipment to the lot. Tight backyards in older neighborhoods like Nob Hill or near the university get compact machines that fit through a gate. Open vacant lots get a skid steer or excavator so the work moves faster and costs you less.

Most requested in Albuquerque

Working inside Albuquerque city limits

  • Weed and litter notices. The City of Albuquerque can require owners to clear weeds and litter from their property. Read your notice for the deadline, then call us. We can usually schedule quickly and send you before-and-after photos.
  • Dust. Clearing or grading larger areas may need a fugitive dust control permit from the city’s air quality program, which covers Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. We help you check before we start.
  • Grading and drainage. Grading can’t send stormwater onto neighboring properties, and bigger projects may need an approved grading and drainage plan.
  • Utilities. We request a New Mexico 811 locate before any digging.

Rules change and vary by property. We help you check what applies; we don’t give legal advice or guarantee permit decisions.

Yes: the Northeast Heights, Foothills, Westside, Northwest Mesa, North and South Valley, Downtown, Nob Hill, the Southeast Heights and everywhere in between. Give us the address when you request an estimate.

How fast can you clear a lot after a city weed notice?

Call as soon as the notice arrives. We prioritize notice cleanups and will tell you the earliest date we can be on site when you call.

Can you fit equipment into a small backyard?

Often, yes. We check gate width, walls and overhead lines during the estimate and bring a machine that fits. If nothing will fit, we tell you upfront.
