Weed and brush cleanup in the North Valley

North Valley lots are bigger and wetter than most in the metro, and the weeds show it. We clear back acres, old pens and tree-row undergrowth, and we help you figure out which office your notice came from.

Who sent your North Valley weed notice?

Valley addresses split between the city, the county and the Village of Los Ranchos. The notice itself names the sender.

Old farm ground grows a different kind of mess

Many North Valley properties were small farms, and the land still behaves that way. Silt that gets ditch or sprinkler water grows weeds taller and thicker than anything on the mesa, and it does it fast.

The back half of a lot is where it gets away from people: an old orchard with grass and suckers between the trees, horse pens nobody has used in years, or a strip along the property line where Siberian elm and Russian olive seedlings come up through the weeds.

We cut weeds and small woody sprouts as part of a cleanup. Bigger trees in those rows are a tree removal job, and we can quote both together.

Tell us what's buried before we drive on it

Brush cutting is surface work, but a skid steer can still crack a valve box or crush a shallow irrigation line hidden in tall weeds. Older valley properties often have wells, septic lids and buried irrigation that New Mexico 811 doesn't mark. Point them out or flag them, and we'll work around them.

Valley jobs we're asked to take on

The back acre behind the house

Fenced off and forgotten until it's chest-high. We cut it down, pull out the trash that's collected and haul it all.

Abandoned horse pens

Old pens with weeds growing through panels and manure. We clear inside and around them so you can decide whether to keep or remove the pens.

An inherited family property

Years of growth, sheds and junk piles. We start with the weeds so you can see what's there, then quote the rest.

Weeds along a ditch easement

We clear up to the easement and leave the ditch alone. Work on the ditch itself is for MRGCD to approve.

Did you receive a weed or litter notice from the city or county?

No obligation. We'll never share your info.

Brush & weed removal questions in North Valley

My notice came from the county, not the city. Does that change how you work?

The cleanup is the same. What changes is who you follow up with and what they ask for, so read the county notice closely and keep our photos and receipt for that office.

Can you cut the elm and Russian olive sprouts coming up in the weeds?

Yes, young sprouts get cut along with the weeds. They often come back from the roots, so a follow-up visit or a tree and stump job may be needed to really get ahead of them.

What if the field is still wet from irrigation on the day you're scheduled?

We'll move the machine work to a drier day rather than rut the ground. Hand trimming along fences and pens can sometimes go ahead anyway.
